Day 113 Tuesday 5th June 2012
Today we had to pack up and leave Siesta Park. Annie and
Lester were kind enough to lead us back to their place via the “scenic” route. There are some really lovely spots along this
part of the country.
As we didn’t have breakfast before we left Siesta Park we
stopped in Bunbury at a lovely café and ordered beautiful breakfast. Café overlooked
the water and we were going to sit outside and enjoy but the weather was a bit
inclement.
Lester made a beautiful curry that night and we sat down to
a great meal. Naturally it was all washed down with some great refreshments. I
think Annie must have had a bit too much as she started being a very, very mischievous
“lady”. Annie has a great sense of humour and obviously likes to have fun.
We all sat down that evening and watched “The girl with the
dragon tattoo”. Very good movie. Staggered off to bed wondering what tomorrow
will bring. Annie had to go back to work.
Day 114 Wednesday 6th June 2012.
Vania and I have decided that we will move onwards with our adventure
tomorrow. I think we have surely outstayed our welcome at Annie and Lester’s.
Plus, I think Vania and I need to “dry” out. The weather for this part of the
world is not looking the best over the next few days so it is time to chase the
sun and head further north.
As it was raining this morning Lester, Vania and I decided
to go for a drive closer to Perth. Lester and Annie live around the Rockingham area
which is approximately 50K’s south of Perth.
Today we have also decided that Houdini’s parents need an
update on their little gnome as follows:
Hi Family,
I am sorry that I have not been in contact any sooner but
have been extremely busy working our way around Australia. Wow you must see some of the places I have
been. It is really hard to describe in a
letter but I will definitely tell you all when I see you again in 8 and a half
months. Wow time has flown. It seems like just the other day that I
decided to embark on this journey with my new mates O & V.
By the way I found a place call Gnomesville during my travel
and I tell you I was sooooo excited to see and meet so many of my family. The real beauty is they are all so happy and
so free and they get so many visitors each and every day. They are so famous. Now this is not a threat but if and when I
return home if you leave me in a dark corner of the yard again I may be tempted
to run away permanently and move to Gnomesville.
I still love you guys heaps and look forward to seeing you
when I return and telling you all about my travels.
Well love you lots as always, and please remember not to
move home without leaving a forwarding address.
Lots of love and kisses
Houdini
