Countdown - 10 Days to Take-off

Well we have started working on getting the van ready. Washing the home and ensuring that there are no unwelcome guests such as spiders on board.

This is the baby that will be pulling the van around Australia.






















Still busy trying to get things sorted out my end.  Almost finished packing up my bedroom.  Will have to finish it this week as I have to get out so Jakes can move in.  Had a possible tenant come around today to view the last bedroom available.  Have completed the games room, varnished the deck in the front, will need to complete the gate and fence panels. My car is no longer up for sale.  Lesley and Rupert have kindly offered her a secure home from home until I return.  Thanks guys another tick and worry off the list.

Next week the total focus is on the van.

We have decided on one other passenger. Have to find him, it goes a little like this.............

Find a gnome in somebodies yard and pinch (borrow) it.  Take a picture and send it to the adress from where you pinched (borrowed) it, saying something to the effect................

"Hi Family,

Have decided to embark on a trip around Australia with my new mates.........Names not disclosed for fear of incriminating my new buddies.  Please do not worry about me.  I will be gone for approximately a year and promise to return.  I will send you photo's and letters during my trip.  Oh and please don't move home over the next year I will be devasted if I return and I do not have my family.  

Lots of love your friend."

Here is a picture of my gnome.  If you know of a gnome I can pinch(borrow) (locally) please let me know, else I will just have to take this one with and I won't be able to send anybody letters and pictures.
