Well if I thought Gulnare was cold the other morning, were we in for a surprise this morning. Not quite sure about returning home, might try and convince Oscar to turn north. Dragged our bones out of bed early enough but with a lot of pain. We also had to close up the bedroom whilst it was wet which is not a good idea, but when we got home we opened her up for a few hours to dry her out.
We drove home the last lap with ease and arrived home at 11:30. We started sorting out a few things whilst we were waiting for Steven to return home so we could move a few vehicles in order to put the van back in the driveway temporarily whilst we get her ready for sale. So whilst we waited for Steven we decided to go for lunch at the same place this trip for Oscar and I began.
When we got home Steven moved his bike and we parked the van. Well we are now in the process of cleaning her. Once done she will be relocated to a place that takes vans on consignment.
So this is it. The final chapter of what was a truly remarkable trip. I was asked if I enjoyed it. I must admit, after giving birth to my sons, this must be one of the best experiences I have had in my life. I cannot to this day believe how safe and what awesome treasures this country has if you are only willing to get a little dirty and out of your comfort zone. I will finish the east coast but for now, back to work and reality.
So finally I would love to thank Oscar for making this trip a reality for me. I sincerely hope that you enjoyed it as much as I did (squabbles aside). Thank you for always making me feel safe even though under normal circumstances I would not have done some things.
Thanks for taking the time to read the blog. I really hope that you all enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed documenting it.
Till the next adventure
O&V
PS will post final photo's at a later date.
